Privacy & data notice
How the 1958 OS client and crew portal handles your data.
1958This portal (os.1958.film) is a private workspace for invited clients and crew. We keep the data we hold to the minimum needed to run it securely, and we use no advertising or analytics tracking of any kind.
What we collect
- Account details — your login ID and display name.
- Access key — stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash; we never store or can see your actual key.
- Sign-in log — for each successful sign-in we record the time, the account, and a shortened IP address (the last part is removed) to protect your account and detect abuse.
- Your work content — for crew, the tasks, deliverables and briefs assigned to you.
Cookies
We use a single, strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. It is encrypted and signed, marked http-only and secure, and contains no personal information beyond your account ID. We use no tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
How we use it
Solely to operate the portal: to authenticate you, show you the right content, and keep a short security audit trail of sign-ins. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for marketing.
Who processes it
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Neon — database hosting.
- Google Fonts — some older pages (the legacy portal and the rich property briefings) still load typefaces from Google’s servers, which means your IP address is shared with Google when those pages load. Everything on the current design serves fonts from our own servers, and the older pages are moving across.
How long we keep it
Sign-in log entries are automatically deleted after 90 days. Account and work records are kept for as long as your access is active, and removed when your account is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data. Write to wereallyneedtotalk@1958.film and a person will answer.
